The HAL Extraction Booth was designed to create a safe CID1 working environment for extracting plant oils using flammable or hazardous solvents. The HAL Extraction Hood was designed to create a more affordable CID2 working environment for ethanol extraction, post-extraction processing, and off-gassing.

UL CERTIFIED

The use of flammable and pressurized solvents can create dangerous conditions for workers and buildings. HAL Extraction has worked with Underwriters Laboratories (UL) to develop and certify the first equipment for use in the plant oil extraction industry.

On 7/9/18 the HAL Extraction Booth became the industry’s first and only UL Certified plant oil extraction facility supporting Class I, Division 1, Group D equipment within the booth; and Class I, Division 2, Group D equipment outside the booth around openings for 3 feet in all directions.

In the fast-growing world of cannabis extraction, this certification can expedite your facility’s approval process. The coveted listing from UL, the oldest and most respected Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratories (NRTL), indicates that a piece of equipment has been deemed safe for use in an applicable workplace, satisfying both Fire Marshals’ and Building Code Officials’ requirements.

All HAL Booth configurations and the HAL Extraction Hood have been evaluated by a third-party professional engineering firm, Pressure Safety Inspectors (PSI), licensed in all 50 states. The HAL Booth has been reviewed and approved using the following codes and standards.

DOORS

The custom door assembly comes with 4 sliding doors allowing a max opening of 55.5"W x 95.5"H during operation. Doors are made in Nebraska, USA.

UTILITY PENETRATION PLATE

All non-rated equipment should be located outside of the CI/D2 Hood. The Utility Penetration Plate allows for heating and cooling lines to easily be run from inside your booth to your non-rated components (chillers, ovens) located outside. Each Utility Penetration Plate comes with the 16 pre-punched penetrations and the accompanying fire-rated hole seals. ALARMS

Included with the booth is CI/D2 hazardous location Amber Light Alarm and 109 Db Sound Alarm.
